Indeed unveils Singapore TikTok tie-in – AIM Group

Indeed and TikTok are launching a campaign aimed at young jobseekers in Singapore. Alongside the six-month campaign, Indeed has also set up a TikTok channel for Generation Zs and Millennials looking for work in the country.
The “You Better Work, Boss” campaign is intended to encourage young candidates to apply for jobs through Indeed’s “seamless” and “user-friendly” job search function.
It comes in response to research indicating that members of the Generation Z and Millennial generation expect potential hirers to put in effort to attract and keep their workers, alongside an increasing tendency among younger jobseekers and employers to use TikTok to promote themselves.
“Videos highlighting particular skills such as coding or even make-up and personal grooming are well-received on the platform,” said a spokesperson for Indeed, quoted by Marketing-Interactive.
“Gen Z is a group that is very expressive on social platforms and TikTok is their ‘go-to’ to voice out their opinions on diverse issues. We wanted to tap on this trend and cater to Gen Z and help them explore job opportunities with our seamless and user-friendly job search options on the platform.”
Nishita Lalvani, marketing director of Indeed India and SEA, added, “We want to support the aspirations of Gen Z and Millennials who will make up a large part of the workforce soon. They are set to have a 50 to 60-year career ahead of them, and we foresee the need to help this group of workers navigate the jobs sector whilst staying true to their beliefs.”
She said the new TikTok channel — which will broadcast content on such themes as mental health, work stress, various professions, job market readiness, and the future of work — was intended to help “bridge the gap between Gen Z and PMET employers and help everyone find common ground where businesses and employees can thrive together.”
TikTok has become increasingly involved in recruitment, with the ByteDance-owned company launching a video resume pilot last summer, in response to a rise in career and job-related content on the micro-video site.
